This webpage is designed to keep you informed on all events for The Michigan Wolverines Speed Team - Grand Rapids.

NEW:Practice Calendar has been updated!  

November calendar is now up & we have added a 3rd weekly practice!!  November is time for Monday practices!  Please make sure you keep track of when and where practices are for yourselves by checking the website.  Once we post the schedule we write it on our calendar at home and then only post changes which we will make notice on the homepage!  Your coaches do not have the calendar memorized and do not always have access to our home calendar or the internet if we're driving down the road when you call.  Please be responsible and check the website the day of practice.  The website was created for your convienience as well as ours! 

Please remember that EVERY Saturday we will be doing offskate exercises...not everyone is competing and those who are not will do offskates the practice before a meet.  PLEASE COME PREPARED!!!!  If you are competing the next day, and only if YOU are competing, you will be exempt from offskate exercises and will not be expected to be at practice until 9:00AM.  However, if you are planning on attending regionals and nationals it is in your best interest to train through the small meets, it will only make you stronger.  We will back off leading up to big invitationals so that you can rest and skate well when it is time.  If you have questions  or concerns about this please feel free to ask Coach Jenny or Coach BJ.  Also, if you are doing your own training outside of practice please let your coaches know so that we can have a better idea of how to compliment those workouts and make sure that they are fitting and appropriate for skating and beneficial to you throughout the season.

This season is off to a great start and we are excited to be a part of your lives!  Your work ethic so far has been amazing and uncomparable to any other season....and that says a lot!  Each one of you is an amazing athlete with the potential to reach the stars!  Know that each time you strap your skates on that you get to skate, you get to go fast, you are learning to be great racers and you get to have fun!  It's so awesome that you get to do something that you love and are able to play!  Always remember that it is fun and that's our #1 goal!!
